Staff

Our qualified staff at the Gold Coast Addiction & Treatment Rehab are addiction specialists who understand the complex journey of rebuilding our lives.

We have walked this journey of recovery and are able to relate to your needs and struggles. This personal experience with addiction gives us compassion and insight into the recovery process to support you through every step of your journey.

A Tailored Recovery Program

We provide professional 24-hour care and only have a maximum of 5 clients at any one time, with a client to staff ratio of between 2:1 to 4:1. This means we work alongside you up close and personal during all treatment and individual counselling. Our treatment team are here to make sure your stay with us is as safe and comfortable as possible.

We have a visiting doctor at our facility to make sure that your medical needs are addressed. We will also accompany you to any additional medical appointments and / or pharmacy dispensary if necessary. Our staff will supervise your Webster pack medication to ensure everything goes smoothly and safely.

Your treatment team includes a caring team of specialised Alcohol and Drug (AOD) workers, counsellors, psychologists and a private visiting doctor, as well as our Clinical Director who has 29 years of experience in addiction and is a Dual Diagnosis Consultant on the Gold Coast.

We also believe addiction treatment works well alongside Complementary Therapies. All clients are offered complementary therapies as a matter of personal choice. Finding emotional balance and relaxation is vital part of relapse prevention strategies. Our team will help you design a wellbeing routine that will suit your recovery program.

A Range Of Modalities

Our complementary therapists offer a range of modalities to complement your addiction treatment, including:

  • Massage
  • Acupuncture
  • Acupressure, Reflexology and Bowen therapy
  • Naturopathy
  • Diet, supplementation and nutritional advice
  • Swimming, water and spa therapy
  • Far Infra-Red therapy

During the assessment stage we will offer you the opportunity if you want to go to an integrative doctor near you that will test your biochemistry levels to determine if you have any medical concerns that impact your recovery and health, such as; unbalanced methylation levels, nutrient deficiencies (zinc, B vitamins etc) that compromise your mental health and general wellbeing. This is explained in the 4th video on the service page called Optimal Health.

This integrative medical care will continue during your stay with us and beyond into the Tripod of Support Aftercare.
